What do you think?

One tip, if you dont land centered on the jelly there is not much chance for recovery, maybe make the platform around them a little more solid

wow it looks sooo good i was looking for a parkour game for soo long and i finally found one

YAY

Hey I played your game! There was a bit of an issue with the instructions tho as the gamejolt version does not mention the hover. had a bit of a problem during the gameplay

feel free to check it out here: https://youtu.be/RwhQujbsWLQ

Are you going to add a grapple hook?

also i hope they add more to the game

JICE is a first person platformer, set in a ruined candy factory.

Find your path to the end in the fastest way possible using wall running, jumping and more! Avoid or destroy hostile robots and keep your energy level at check - if it drops too low, you won't be able to go as fast.

The game is currently in development, but you can follow the devlog here and share your thoughts! Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

You can also follow the game on other platforms:

Created this energy vat! Its primary use is to restore player's energy in the tutorial areas.

Continuing work on the rebound mechanic - here is how it will look like to jump off the walls! Also added some spark effects to signal the rebound availability and to look cooler.

Some progress on another new mechanic - rebound. It is sort of a finisher for an air slide. If you hit an object on your way, you will bounce off it - and if it is a robot, it will also take a lot of damage, probably dying a painful death in the process

Dedicated this week to working on ledge climbing. This doesn't seem to be that big of a deal, but whenever I play any movement related game, the ability to still land on a surface, even if you miss it by a little bit, really changes the flow.

Most robots at the JICE factory are hostile to the player due to their settings getting corrupted. However, some robots are still running their "work at the factory" routine, like cooking some hot toasts!

Walls that had the glowing green pattern looked pretty good but took a long time to make. It involved carving out the pattern in the model. So I made this thing into a texture that could be slapped onto different walls, and the result is on the pic!

Experimenting with player sounds! Added some rough footsteps, impact sounds and whooshes. Makes the game feel more alive already

More prototyping of the first level! This is a maze-like part that will introduce one of the main movement mechanics.

Happy holidays!

They are fun, but what is even more fun? Making some progress! Here is a peek at a greyboxed prototype of a new tutorial level for JICE.

Experimenting with some textures!
